Internet Etiquette
Internet etiquette became apparent when companies see the potential of how on-line technology can harm the security of their files and documents. However, netiquette as it is commonly referred to, have been in existence before the popularity of World Wide Web in 1989. It has already been used by text-based e-mail and other computer networks especially since most of the users at that time came from the field of education and research.

Not a good idea
These days, netiquette is generally used as a set of rules over various networks which included blogs, forums, mailing lists among others. This is to address the usual problems when individuals tend to abuse or neglect the advantages of the Web. Netiquette aims to discipline users and to provide a form of guidelines in the use of the Web and its applications.
